Vicki Powers

With more than 25 years of experience, Vicki has spent her communication career in corporate, nonprofit, and entrepreneurial endeavors as a magazine freelance writer and founder of a hyperlocal site. She loves having her hand in all aspects of digital marketing from blog posts and case studies to social media, impact reports, and publications. Vicki’s career interest dates back to a seventh grade journalism class.

Vicki earned a Bachelor of Journalism at The University of Texas at Austin, where she marched in the Longhorn Band. In 2021, she earned a Digital Marketing Science certificate from University of California, Silicon Valley to learn the latest in content marketing, social media, email marketing, analytics, and SEO.

Vicki has a heart for nonprofits and has volunteered extensively with National Charity League. She loves giving back and making a difference for children sharing her time with Make-A-Wish and Kids’ Meals. Vicki enjoys traveling, making pretty things, attending cultural events, and spending time with her significant other. She is a proud mom to two grown daughters —   and two fluffy rescue dogs, who make her laugh daily.
